Delhi’s air quality remains poor with AQI at 270

The air quality in the national capital, Delhi continues to remain in the poor category, with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 270 as of 1 PM this afternoon. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, some areas of the city have breached the 300 AQI levels. The AQI at Delhi’s Mundka station was recorded at 354, Nehru Nagar at 324, Jahangirpuri at 313, Bawana at 309, Rohini at 301, RK Puram at 299 and Burari Crossing station recorded an AQI of 297.

       

The India Meteorological Department has forecast that Delhi and the surrounding NCR are likely to experience smog and shallow fog during the night and morning hours over the next two days.
