Delhi’s air quality improves to ‘moderately polluted’, AQI at 184

The air quality in the national capital Delhi has shown improvement and registered in the Moderately polluted category with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 184 as of 1 PM today. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, some areas of the city have breached the 250 AQI levels. The AQI at Delhi’s Shadipur station was recorded at 276, Nehru Nagar at 262, Dwarka-Sector 8 at 230, Jahangirpuri at 218 and R K Puram at 220. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that Delhi and the surrounding NCR are likely to experience smog and shallow fog during the night and morning hours over the next two days.
