Delhi Polls 2025: 92% voting recorded under home voting facility so far

The Home Voting facility for Delhi assembly polls is being enthusiastically utilized by differently-abled individuals and senior citizens aged 85 years and above in all 70 Assembly constituencies. The Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi said in a statement that the home voting facility is available to voters above 85 years of age and Persons with Disabilities. 92% of total registered voters under the home voting facility successfully cast their votes as of the 31st of last month. This includes 5,982 senior citizens and 998 persons with disabilities. District West recorded the highest home-voting turnout at 94%.

 

In adherence to Election Commission protocols, the contestants were informed about the schedule and list of home voters, ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral process. The significant increase in home voting reflects growing voter awareness and accessibility, reinforcing the commitment to inclusive democratic participation. The service commenced on the 24th of January and will remain available till Feb 4, a day before regular voting begins.
