Delhi Police has reiterated that only New Delhi and NDMC areas will be the controlled zone in the National Capital during the G20 Summit. The entire area of New Delhi district will be considered as Controlled Zone from 5 AM of 8th September to 11.59 PM on 10th September.
Briefing media in New Delhi today, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police SS Yadav said, Delhi Police has appealed to the citizens to avoid India Gate or Kartavya Path area for walking, picnic or cycling activity from 8th to 10th of this month. He advised the people to use Mappls MapmyIndia app to reach their destination as detailed information about routes.
As per the Delhi Police advisory Heavy Goods Vehicles, Medium Goods Vehicles and Light Goods Vehicles will not be allowed to enter into Delhi. However, goods vehicles carrying essential commodities such as milk, vegetables, fruits, medical supplies having valid No Entry Permissions will be allowed to enter into Delhi. Interstate buses will also be allowed entry into Delhi. All such buses will have terminating points on the Ring Road.
