Delhi Police has appointed Joint Commissioner of Police, B. Shanker Jaiswal as Nodal officer to deal with the objectionable content spread through social media or SMSs during upcoming Lok Sabha polls.  In a social media post, Delhi Police said that objectionable messages spread through SMSs, Social Media platforms can disrupt electoral processes by contravening election laws, the model code of conduct and directives issued by the commission. Delhi Police also urged people to promptly report objectionable content to the appointed officer.
