The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the bail plea filed by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha on Tuesday (20th August 2024), in corruption and money laundering cases linked to the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.
Last week, the apex court agreed to examine Kavitha’s plea and asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file their reply. It declined to pass any interim relief without hearing the side of investigative agencies.
Kavitha, the daughter of BRS chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was denied bail by the Delhi High Court on 1st of last month.
