Delhi LG praises Traffic Guards, Prahari App Hits 6 Lakh Complaints

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena today commended the Traffic Guard for their exemplary public service, emphasising their commitment to duty and responsibility as citizens. Speaking at the Felicitation Ceremony for the Traffic Guard in New Delhi, he referred to them as champions of the community. He highlighted the Prahari App as a significant initiative driven by the public. He said that this app helps citizens to register complaints against those who violate the traffic rules.

Mr Saxena stressed the importance of self-discipline for those serving as traffic guards, asserting that only empowered citizens can effectively fulfil this role. He noted that approximately 6 lakh complaints have been submitted through the app as of April 16. Additionally, he encouraged the Delhi Police to incorporate violations beyond parking into the Prahari App. He concluded by acknowledging the collective responsibility of traffic management and expressing gratitude to all the Traffic Prahari award recipients.
