Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today came down heavily on the Aam Aadmi Party accusing it of spreading lies and making false promises to residents of Delhi. He said Delhi’s problem remains the same as both Congress and AAP parties did nothing for the development of Delhi in their tenure. Addressing a public meeting in Yamuna Khadar in North-East Delhi today, Mr Modi hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party accusing it of being involved in corruption. He said, the people of Delhi need such a government, which fulfils their aspirations, like building houses for the poor, making Delhi modern, and providing tap water to every household.
Mentioning the problem faced by the people of Delhi Mr. Modi said, traffic congestion, potholes, overflowing sewage, waterlogging and pollution are still major problems. He assured that promises made to people by the BJP will be fulfilled in a time-bound manner and this is Modi’s guarantee. He said that all pending work of the past 11 years will be completed. Mr Modi also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal over his remarks on pollution in the Yamuna River. The Prime Minister termed Mr Kejriwal’s allegations baseless.
Addressing an election rally in the Bawana area Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also accused AAP and BJP of making false promises. He alleged that former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is opposed to reservations and is against Dalits, backwards, minorities and the poor.
Addressing a public gathering in the Badli Assembly area, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal highlighted the works done by his government. He promised that water bills would be waived off by his party if they came to power.
