Delhi Assembly Joins NeVA, Moves Towards Paperless Governance

The Delhi Legislative Assembly has taken a significant step towards digital governance by signing an MoU between the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and the Government of Delhi for the implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA).

The MoU was signed in the presence of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and Speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly Vijender Gupta in New Delhi today. NeVA serves as a unified digital platform for all legislative functions, including the submission of notices, ministerial replies, legislative business, discussions, committee reports, and access to a digital library. Delhi has become the 28th legislature to join the National e-Vidhan Application platform.

Speaking on the occasion, Kiren Rijiju said, This will be beneficial for the people of Delhi as well as the MLAs of the national capital.

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta said the Assembly will become paperless, and within 100 days, the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) will be implemented.

The NeVA platform aims to bring greater efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability to legislative procedures by digitising House business, providing real-time access to documents, and enabling seamless coordination among legislators and secretariat staff.
