Defence Minister emphasises on latest medical advancement to provide quality health services to soldiers

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today emphasized the importance of adopting the latest advancements in the Army Medical Corps to provide quality health services to soldiers. Addressing the 261st Raising Day celebrations of the Army Medical Corps in New Delhi, Mr. Singh emphasized that the medical sector is undergoing a phase of technological transformation globally. He acknowledged AMC’s efforts in adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) and carrying out research in cutting-edge technology. The Minister also stressed the need to stay abreast of evolving practices to achieve new breakthroughs in the field. He advocated for encouraging simulator-based training, wherein expertise in medical procedures is achieved through machine-based learning. He also called for the establishment of additional research and training centers for personnel to achieve this proficiency. The Minister further highlighted the need to develop dual-use technologies, which can prove to be beneficial to both the defence and civilian sectors.
