Cyclone Dana will enter the north Odisha and West Bengal coasts from tonight to early morning tomorrow. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a red alert over the region for today and tomorrow. Talking to Akashwani News, Director General of Meteorology at, Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said that the cyclone Dana will move northwestwards and intensify as a severe cyclonic storm. He added that under its influence, rainfall has already commenced over West Bengal and Odisha, which will gradually increase in the next 24 hours into extremely heavy rainfall.
