Today is the death anniversary of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore. This day is being commemorated by following the Bengali calendar which is the 22nd day of Shravan.

Various programmes were organised at Jora Sanko Thakur Bari and Shantiniketan today.

 
The state government has organised a photo exhibition at Gaganendra Hall in Kolkata. This exhibition will continue till the 12th of this month. Besides six-day-long cultural programmes at Rabindra Sadan, Sisir Mancha, Ektara Mukto Mancha and Bangla Academy in Kolkata. This programme has started today.
