Director General of Central Reserve Police Force CRPF Sujoy Lal Thaosen today laid a wreath at the National Police Memorial on the Raising Day of CRPF and paid homage to the Bravehearts of the force who made their supreme sacrifice at the altar of duty. 
 
Addressing the Raising Day event, Director of Intelligence Bureau Tapan Kumar Deka lauded the versatility of the force. He said, CRPF is a force committed to dealing with adverse Internal Security situations and has always espoused its ethos of "Service and Loyalty", earning the trust of the Nation.
 
DG CRPF Sujoy Lal Thaosen in his address said, CRPF in its 84 glorious years of existence has always exhibited exemplary courage and valour and has been bestowed with as many as two thousand 469 Gallantry Medals.

On the occasion, Mr Deka and Mr Thaosen presented Gallantry Medals to the heroes and family members of martyred Bravehearts, who were awarded posthumously.
