Cricket: New Zealand to start 2nd innings against India on 5th day of opening Test in Bengaluru

In cricket, New Zealand will start their second innings against India this morning on the fifth day of the opening Test at the M Chinnaswami Stadium in Bengaluru. New Zealand need just 107 runs to win the match. Earlier India were all out for 462 runs in their second innings yesterday. For the hosts, Sarfaraz Khan scored a majestic 150, while Rishabh Pant missed out on a hundred after scoring 99 runs. For New Zealand, Matt Henry and William O’Rourke bagged 3 wickets each.

 

In the first innings, India were all out for a paltry 46 runs. While, New Zealand made 402 runs in their reply. India are currently at the top of the World Test Championship standings, while New Zealand stands sixth.
