In the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, India defeated Scotland by 150 runs at Bayuemas Oval Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this afternoon. Chasing a target of 209 runs set by India, Scotland was all out for only 58 runs in 14 overs. For India, Aayushi Shukla bagged 4 wickets, while Vaishnavi Sharma and Gongadi Trisha took three wickets each. Earlier, the Indian team scored 208 runs, losing only one wicket in the stipulated 20 overs. For India, Gongadi Trisha scored a game-high 110 runs off 59 balls and remained not out, while G. Kamalini scored 51 runs off 42 balls. For Scotland, Maisie Maceira took one wicket.
In men’s cricket, India will take on England in the third T20 International match at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, Gujarat, today. The match will begin at 7 this evening. The Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian side is leading the five-match series 2-nil.
