Cricket: India beat England by 15 runs in 4th T20I

In men’s cricket, India defeated England by 15 runs in the fourth T20 International at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune last night, taking an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

Chasing a target of 182 for victory, England were bowled out for 166 runs with two balls to spare. Harry Brook’s quickfire fifty kept the visitors in contention, but it was not enough to secure the win. For India, Ravi Bishnoi and Harshit Rana claimed three wickets each, while Varun Chakravarthy took two crucial wickets in a single over to tighten the hosts’ grip on the game.

Earlier, after being put into bat, India posted 181 runs for nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Hardik Pandya smashed 53 runs off 30 balls, while Shivam Dube contributed an equally vital 53 off 34 balls. For England, Saqib Mahmood was the standout bowler, picking up three wickets. Shivam Dube was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.

The final match of the series will take place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai tomorrow.
