The counting of votes is underway for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The counting is also taking place for the Assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and bye-elections to 25 Assembly Constituencies.
Out of 543 seats NDA has won 230 seats and is leading on 61 while I.N.D.I.A bloc bagged 156 seats and is ahead in 77 seats and Others leading on 19 seats.
BJP alone has won 184 seats and is leading in 56. Congress secured 72 seats and is ahead in 27.
Prominent candidates who have won include Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi from Varanasi, Union Ministers Amit Shah from Gandhinagar, Om Birla from Kota, Arjun Ram Meghwal from Bikaner, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat from Jodhpur, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia from Guna, Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav from Mainpuri seat and Shatrughan Sinha of TMC from Asansol.
Prominent Candidates who have lost include BJP leader and Union Minister Arjun Munda from Khunti, Smriti Irani from Amethi, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah from Baramullah and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti from Anantnag seat.
In Uttar Pradesh, result of 53 contituencies has been declared. BJP has won 23 seats, Samajwadi Party 23 and Congress four. Rashtriya Lok Dal-RLD, Apna Dal (Soneylal)-ADAL and Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram)-ASPKR have won one seat each.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won from Varanasi defeating Ajay Rai of Congress by a margin of more than 1 lakh 50 thousand votes.
Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi has been declared elected from Rae Bareli seat defeating BJP rival Dinesh Pratap Singh by a margin of over 3 lakh 90 thousand votes.
Other Prominent winners of BJP include Dr. Mahesh Sharma from Gautam Buddha Nagar, Jitin Prasad from Pilibhit, Swami Sachchidanand Hari Sakshi form Unnao, Arun Govil from Meerut, Hema Malini from Mathura and Ravi Kishan from Gorakhpur. Smriti Irani of BJP has lost to Kishori Lal of Congress in Amethi and Ajay Kumar of BJP to Utkarsh Verma ‘Madhur’ of Samajwadi Party in Kheri. Menka Gandhi of BJP has also lost to Rambhual Nishad of Samajwadi Party by a margin of over 43 thousand votes in Sultanpur constituency.
Dimpal Yadav of Samajwadi Party has been declared elected from Mainpuri Constituency defeating Jayveer Singh of BJP by a margin of over 2 lakh 20 thousand votes. Chandrashekhar of ASPKR has won from Nagina Constituency.
As per the latest trends, BJP is leading in 10 seats, Samajwadi Party 14, Congress 2 and Rashtriya Lok Dal one seat. Rajnath Singh of BJP is leading by a margin of more than 1 lakh votes in Lucknow constituency. Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi Party is leading by more than 1 lakh 70 thousand in kannauj.
In Delhi, BJP won on 2 seats and is leading in 5 constituencies. Praveen Khandelwal won Chandni chowk seat and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from South Delhi. BJP candidates Manoj Tiwari, Bansuri Swaraj, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Yogendra Chandoliya and Harsh Malhotra are leading in their constituencies.
In Punjab, out of all 13 seats. Congress has won 7, Aam Aadmi Party 3, Shiromani Akali Dal 1 and Independents 2 seats.
In Haryana, trends are available for all 10 seats. BJP is leading in 4 seats and Congress in 6 seats.
In lone Lok Sabha seat in Chandigarh, Congress candidate Manish Tewari is leading over BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon.
Out of a total of six seats in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP is leading in 2 seats, National Conference in 2 , and Independent in 1 seat. National Conference candidate and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is trailing behind the Independent candidate Engineer Sheikh Rashid in Baramullah Lok Sabha seat. BJP candidate and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh is leading in Udhampur Parliamentary seat. PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti is trailing behind the National Conference candidate Mian Altaf Ahmad in Anantnag-Rajouri constituency.
In lone Parliamentary seat in Ladakh, Independent candidate Haji Hanifa has won.
In Himachal Pradesh, the BJP has won all four Lok Sabha seats. With this clean sweep, the BJP has repeated the history of 2014 and 2019. Prominent leaders among the winners this time include Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur and actress Kangana Ranaut.
In Uttarakhand, result of two seat has been declared. BJP Candidate Ajay Bhatt defeated Congress rival Prakash Joshi by a margin of more than 3 lakh votes in Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar. Trivendra Singh Rawat of BJP has won form Haridwar seat defeating Congress candidate Virendra Rawat by a margin of over 1 lakh 64 thousand votes.
BJP is also leading in the remaining three Lok Sabha Constituencies.
Ajay Tamta and Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah are leading by a margin of more than 2 lakh votes in Almora and Tehri-Garhwal constituencies respectively. Anil Baluni is leading by a margin of over 1 lakh 50 thousand votes in Garhwal.
In Rajasthan, result of all 25 Lok Sabha seats has been declared. BJP has won 14 seats and 8 seats have gone in favour of Congress. CPI(M), Rashtriya Loktantrik Party and Bharat Adiwasi Party have bagged one seat each.
BJP candidates have been declared elected from Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, Jalore, Jhalawar-Baran, Jodhpur, Kota, Pali, Rajsamand, and Udaipur. Congress has won from Barmer, Bharatpur, Churu, Dausa, Ganganagar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli-Dholpur and Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituencies. Bharat Adiwasi Party, CPI(M) and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party Candidates have won from Banswara, Sikar and Nagaur respectively.
Om Birla of BJP defeated Congress rival Prahlad Gunjal by a margin of over 41 thousand votes. Arjun Ram Meghwal of BJP has won from Bikaner defeating Congress rival Govind Ram Meghwal by a margin of over 55 thousand votes. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat of BJP has won from Jodhpur constituency defeating Congress rival Karan Singh Uchiyarda by a margin of over 1 lakh votes.
In Gujarat, BJP has made a clean sweep by winning 25 seats. one seat has gone to Congress.
In Maharashtra, BJP has won 4 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) 4, INC 3, Shiv sena (SHS) 2, NCP(SP) and NCP won 1 seat each.
In Goa, BJP and Congress both have won 1 seat each.
In Madhya Pradesh, BJP has won 28 seats and is maintaining lead on 1 seat.
From Guna seat, Jyotiraditya Scindia has won with over five lakh votes margin, Rahul Singh Lodhi has won form Damoh with over 4 lakh votes margin, Faggan Singh Kulaste bagged Mandla seat, Dr Virendra Kumar has won from Tikamgarh while Shankar Lalwani has bagged the Indore seat.
BJP’s Bunty Vivek Sahu has won the Chhindwara seat which has become a matter of prestige for both BJP and Congress after 26 years.
BJP contested on all 29 seats in MP, while Congress contested on 27 seats. Congress had left one seat for Samajwadi Party.
In Chhattisgarh, results have stated coming in. 11 seats went to poll. BJP has won 04 seats and is leading in 6 others. Congress is leading in 1 seat.
In Odisha, BJP has won 5 seats and is leading on 14. BJD and Congress are leading on one seat each.
In Jharkhand, Lok Sabha elections were held for 14 seats. BJP has won eight seats, AJSU Party -one, JMM-two and the Congress two. BJP leader and Union Minister Arjun Munda has lost Khunti seat. He has been defeated by Congress candidate Kalicharan Munda by margin of over one lakh 40 thousand votes. Union Minister and BJP leader Annapurna Devi has been elected from Koderma seat. BJP candidates Manish Jaiswal from Hazaribagh, Sanjay Seth from Ranchi and BD Ram from Palamu, Nishikant Dubey from Godda, Dhullu Mahto from Dhanbad Vidut Baran Mahto from Jamshedpur and Kalicharan Singh from Chatra have also won elections.
In West Bengal, Trinamool Congress has won 15 seats and leading in 14 constituencies. Abhishek Banerjee, Kirti Jha Azad and Shatrughan Prasad Sinha are prominent winners of the party. Abhishek has won the election over the margin of over seven lakh votes.
BJP has won two seats and leading on 10 seats.
Isha Khan Choudhary of Congress has won Malda Dakshin seat.
In Bihar, BJP has won 8 seats and leading on 4. JD(U) has won 6 and leading on 6 seats. Congress has won 3 seats and Lok Jan Shakti party (Ram Vilas) has won 2 seats and leading on 3. RJD, HAMS and independent candidate has won 1 seat each.
In Assam, BJP is leading in 9 seats, Congress in 3, and Asom Gana Parishad and United People’s Party (Liberal) in 1 seat each. BJP candidate and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is leading in Dibrugarh by over 2 lakh 75 thousand votes.
In Tripura, BJP has won all two seats. Its candidate and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb defeated Ashish Kumar Saha of Congress in Tripura West Parliamentary seat by over 6 lakh 11 thousand 5 hundred votes. BJP candidate Kriti Devi Debbarman defeated Rajendra Reang of CPIM by over 4 lakh 86 thousand votes.
In Arunachal Pradesh, BJP candidate and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has won Arunachal West Parliamentary constituency by over 1 lakh votes defeating Nabam Tuki of Congress. BJP candidate Tapir Gao defeated his nearest rival Bosiram Siram of Congress by over 30 thousand votes.
In Manipur, Congress is leading on both the seats.
In Mizoram, Richard Vanlalhmangaiha of Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) defeated his nearest rival K. Vanlalvena of Mizo National Front by over 68 thousand votes.
In Nagaland, Congress candidate S.S Jamir has won the lone Lok Sabha seat defeating Dr, Chumben Murry by over 50 thousand 9 hundred votes.
In Meghalaya, Congress candidate Saleng A Sangma has won Tura seat by over 1 lakh 55 thousand votes defeating Agatha Sangma of National People’s party. Voice of the Pepole Party (VOTPP) candidate Dr. Ricky Andrew J Singkon has bagged Shillong seat defeating Vincent H Pala of Congress by over 3 lakh 71 thousand votes.
Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) candidate Indra Hang Subba has won in lone Sikkim Lok Sabha seat.
In Andaman and Nicobar Islands, BJP candidate Bishnu Pada Ray is leading in lone Parliamentary seat.

In Telangana, Out of 17 Lok Sabha Constituencies. BJP has won 07 seats and leading on 01 seats, Congress has won 04 seats and leading on 04 seats and AIMIM leading on 01 seat.
In Tamil Nadu, Out of 39 Lok Sabha Constituencies, DMK has won 06 seats and leading on 16 seats, Congress has won 02 seat, CPI(M) won 2 seats, CPI and MDMK won 1 seat each. VCK is leading on 02 seats.
In Kerala, Out of 20 Lok Sabha Constituencies. Congress has won 13 seats and leading on 01 seats. CPI (M) has won 01 seat, IUML has won 01 seats leading on 01 seats, BJP has won 01 seat, and others won 02 seats.
In Karnataka, Out of 28 Lok Sabha Constituencies. BJP has won 17 seats. While Congress has won 09 seats and JDS won 02 seats.
In Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls, TDP has won 5 seats leading in 11 seats, BJP has won 02 seats and leading on 01 seat, YSRCP has won 02 seats and leading on 02 seats and others leading on 02 seat.
In Odisha, the BJP has won 6 seats and is leading on 13, while Congress has won one seat and BJD is leading on 1 seat. Bhartruhari Mahtab, Aparajita Sarangi, Pradeep Purohit and Ananta Nayak of BJP have won their elections.
