The Consulate General of India in Vancouver has expressed condolences over the death of Harshandeep Singh, a 20-year-old Indian national, who was fatally shot in Edmonton on Friday. In a statement, the Consulate confirmed that two individuals, Evan Rain and Judith Saulteaux have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. The Consulate assured support for Singh’s family and said it would stay in contact with local authorities. Singh was shot at an apartment complex and later died in the hospital. Police recovered a weapon during the suspects’ arrest.
