Congress Party President, Mallikarjun Kharge is scheduled to visit Nagaland to address an election rally in Dimapur on April 16. The public rally will begin at 12 noon.
This was stated by All India Congress Committee in-charge of Nagaland, Manipur, Sikkim and Tripura, Girish Chodankar while addressing a press meet at Congress Bhavan in Kohima today.
The congress leader expressed confidence that the I.N.D.I.A alliance would form the government at the Centre.
He claimed that the mood of the country is changing as the people no longer believe the fake guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Congress leader recognized the hard work of Congress Candidate S Supongmeren Jamir who is also the NPCC president for reviving the party and organizing Rahul Gandhi’s-Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra which was well received by the congress leader.
Mr. Chodankar said the ensuing election is about saving the future of India and safeguarding the constitution.
Further, the Congress leader alleged that NDPP- BJP alliance supporters are preparing for booth capturing at 12 Assembly constituencies on the polling day.
