In a public meeting at Davangere in Karnataka on Saturday, the Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that the Central Government has worked only for the benefit of the billionaires. She alleged that 16 lakh crore rupees of the rich businessmen were waived off by the Central Government but the loans of farmers are not written off. She charged that demonetisation and GST have broken the back of small industries and traders. She further charged that unemployment and price rise have distressed the poor. She said that BJP is today the richest party and committed fraud through Electoral bond. On the other hand, she said the five guarantees given by the Congress Government in Karnataka have held the hands of the poor.
