Congress CWC meeting to be held on April 8 in Ahmedabad

The meeting of the Central Working Committee, the highest decision-making body of the Congress, will be held tomorrow at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial in Ahmedabad, while the AICC session will be held at Sabarmati Riverfront on 9th April.

 

Addressing a press conference today in Ahmedabad, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Department, Indian National Congress, Pawan Kheraji, said this will be the Congress Party’s second AICC session in Gujarat post-Independence, which is being held on the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s party presidency and the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

 

More than 3,000 delegates from across the country – including National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states, state presidents, CWC members, and special invitees – are expected to attend the AICC session which will be held at Sabarmati River Front on 9th April. Earlier on 8th April, a CWC meeting will be held where the senior party leaders will brainstorm the future roadmap for the party’s revival.
