Many parts of the southern districts of West Bengal are reeling under flood situation. Chief Minister of the state, Mamata Banerjee, visited Howrah, Hooghly, Paschim Medinipur today by road to see the situation there. Due to heavy rainfall in the southern districts of the state last week and the subsequent rainfall in the neighbouring Jharkhand, some rivers are flowing above the danger mark.
