CM Chandrababu Naidu talks to media about flood situation in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu spoke to the media the previous night in Vijayawada Collectorate about the flood situation. The chief minister said the floods were caused by heavy inflows due to climate change and thunderstorms. Over 600,000 people have been affected, with many still stranded in water, he added.

The chief minister said millions of food packets, water bottles, and other essentials were distributed to the affected people. Senior officers and teams have been working non-stop to help people, he added.

Mr. Naidu assured the public that the situation is under control. The government is using technology to push water out and prevent more damage, he added. He said clean-up operations are underway and financial aid will be given to the victims.

The chief minister warned of more rain in areas like Srikakulam and ASR district. He said reservoirs like Yeleru are being closely monitored, and the government is ready with food, water, and medical camps.
The Chief Minister said public safety is the top priority and the government is committed to preventing such disasters in the future.
