Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan said that the food processing sector holds immense potential for boosting farmers’ income, generating state revenue, and creating job opportunities for the youth. In an exclusive interview with the Akashvani News, Mr. Paswan said that the World Food India Festival is scheduled for next month, starting on September 19th.

He said the event will bring together food processing industries from India and around the world to display cutting-edge technology and innovative advancements in the sector. He said that this is an important opportunity to bring together all stakeholders and industries related to food processing on one platform.

The union minister added that the ministry’s schemes are helping in the creation of self-employment opportunities, especially in rural areas. He also mentioned that the Ministry is actively promoting Indian food products globally.
