Chintan Shivir on Social Justice Begins in Dehradun with Participation from 15 States

A two-day Chintin Shivir of the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry started today in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. This conclave, being represented by 15 states, will lay the foundation of future policies for social empowerment and justice. The event is being attended by the Central Minister Virendra Kumar, MOS BL Verma, and MOS Ramdas Athalwe with CM Uttarakhand.

Central Minister Virendra Kumar talked about the important role of the state in the implementation of central policies at the grassroots level. He said that the aim of such a conclave is to strengthen the coordination between state and centre for not only better policy implementation but also to fight impending dangers like drug abuse in a collaborative manner. He also mentioned that the increase in the number of participant states in the conclave is a positive sign.

On the other hand, MOS BL Verma emphasised the significance of holding such a conclave immediately after the end of the previous financial year. He said that this practice will lay a better foundation for successful policy implementation and effective information flow with the participant states and centre from the beginning. MOS Ramdas Athalwe reiterated that PM Modi’s mantra of SABKA SAATH, SABKA VIKAS is the guiding stone for providing justice to the underprivileged and marginalised sections of society. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, present at the occasion, called it a proud moment for the state to hold such a considerable national-level conclave in Uttarakhand.
