Chief Minister N.Rangasamy delivers Independence Day speech after hoisting National flag at Beach Road, Puducherry today

Puducherry Government has spent 93.56 percent of the amount allotted in the revised estimate for the financial year 2022-23 and 98.56 percent beneficiaries under 90 welfare schemes were paid the amount directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

This was disclosed by Chief Minister N.Rangasamy while delivering an Independence Day speech after hoisting the National flag at Beach Road, Puducherry today. He said, contribution of Puducherry state to make India a developed nation would be significant.

He said, in order to improve the quality of Education, CBSE system was introduced from class VI to Class XII in all Government Schools. Under NIPUN Bharat, additional training was imparted to fill the gap created during the COVID period. Mr. Rangasamy added that Integrated Legislative Building Complex would be constructed in Thattanchavadi at the cost of 528 crore rupees and Buildings for National Law University would be constructed in Kalapet at the cost of 438 crore rupees.  

After delivering the Independence Day speech, Chief Minister Rangasamy presented awards and medals.  Following this, March Past was carried out by various divisions of the Police force, NCC cadets and school students. Colourful cultural programmes were presented by various cultural troupes and students of many schools.
