In Telangana, an intense one-day training course for police officers was held yesterday for the forthcoming Assembly Elections. The Chief Electoral Office conducted the training and provided officials with vital information on security measures necessary for a seamless and safe electoral process. On the occasion, CEO Vikas Raj emphasised on the constantly changing nature of Technology and the difficulties it presents to the State during elections. He also emphasised the significance of quick remedial action in light of the widespread media coverage of election-related incidents. The training aimed at providing police new approaches for guaranteeing election security. DGP Anjani Kumar spoke on the occasion about numerous security topics including vehicle inspections and polling place administration. About 700 police officials were reassigned in accordance with the election commission’s instructions.
He also asked them to install security checkpoints with closed-circuit cameras at inter-state borders. West Bengal CEO, Aariz Aftab, gave an overview of the election preparations, including the classification of voting places and vulnerability analyses. Tamil Nadu CEO Satyabrata Sahoo spoke about the deployment and de-induction of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), upholding law and order, and adherence to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) among others.
