In Chhattisgarh, youth belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities today staged a nude protest near Vidhan Sabha on the first day of the monsoon session of the assembly. They were protesting against SC/ST reserved jobs being usurped by ineligible people using fake caste certificates.

Approximately 20 youths, holding placards, ran naked towards the state assembly building, chanting slogans against the state government. Later, the protesters were detained by the police.
 
Vinay Kaushal, the spokesperson for the SC/ST category fake caste certificate case sangharsh samite, stated that the demonstration in front of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly demanded immediate action against individuals holding fake caste certificates. The monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha began today. This session will have four sittings and conclude on July 21.
