Twenty one workers complained breathlessness after an alleged ammonia leak at Thoothukudi. They were immediately admitted to the hospital nearby for treatment.

The leak is said to be a short circuit which led to ammonia leak at the sea food processing factory at Pudur Pandiyapuram at Thoothukudi district. An enquiry has been ordered in the case.
