Chandrayaan-3: Vikram lander to make soft landing on Moon at 6.04 pm on 23rd August

World excitedly awaits the historic occasion as Lander Module of India's Chandrayaan 3 makes an effort for soft landing on Moon's South Polar region tomorrow around 6.04 pm Indian Standard Time. On social media platforms, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has declared that its third Moon mission is on schedule and smooth sailing is continuing around the Moon.

The Mission Operations Complex in Bengaluru is buzzing with activities as the countdown begins for the final descent of the Vikram lander that carries Pragyan Rover within it. ISRO has released images of the Moon captured by the Lander Position Detection Camera from an altitude of about 70 km. These images will assist the Lander Module Vikram in determining its landing position by matching them against an onboard moon reference map.

Akashvani correspondent reports that excitement is building up as the time is ticking to witness the momentous occasion of India’s ISRO landing its Vikram lander near the south pole of Moon tomorrow evening. Several organizations and institutions have arranged live streaming of this historical occasion. Bangalore South Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya has organized live streaming of the event in the city.

Former ISRO scientists and retired employees of the space research organizations will be present on this occasion. Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium in the city has also organized the live streaming of Vikram soft landing on the surface of the Moon. Retired ISRO scientists will be present on this occasion to present live commentary on the event. Several Universities, colleges, and schools have also set up screens for the live screening of the Moon landing. Several temples have organized special pujas for the success of the Mission.
