Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan has extended greetings to all ranks of the Indian Army on the occasion of the 77th Army Day today. In his message, the CDS said that this day celebrates the unwavering dedication, courage, indomitable spirit, and professionalism of the Indian Army. He added that the Indian Army stands as the bedrock of the security and unity of the country. Gen. Chauhan stated that the legacy of the Indian Army is built on its credible ability to adapt to challenges, uphold sovereignty, and serve the nation selflessly. Highlighting the changing dynamics of warfare and the growing use of technology, CDS asserted that modern warfare is evolving rapidly, driven by technological advancement and shifting geopolitical dynamics. The CDS said that the Indian Army needs to adapt and equip itself technologically and continually upgrade its tactics, techniques, and procedures to remain ahead of its adversaries.
