The Centre today said that the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has established 499 procurement centres across 149 districts in 12 cotton-growing states for procurement of cotton from farmers at Minimum Support Price (MSP) rates without any quantitative restrictions.

In a written reply to a question, in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Textiles  Pabitra Margherita informed that the CCI is operating under its 17 branches and facilitating procurements.

He said, that during the 2023-24 cotton season, 446 procurement centers were opened across the country.
