Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI is conducting its investigation into the financial irregularities at R G Kar Hospital in Kolkata. The agency is searching at various places in the city as well as interrogating Debashis Som of the Forensic Department of the R G Kar Medical College and other persons including the ex-Principal Sandip Ghosh. Yesterday the  CBI searched 15 places in this regard.

Meanwhile, the strike by the junior doctors is going on at all the government medical colleges and government medical institutions in West Bengal. The West Bengal Junior Doctors’ Front has demanded a proper investigation and exemplary punishment of the culprits of the R G Kar Medical College and Hospital rape and Murder incident, the suspension of the former principal of the R G Kar Medical College Sandip Ghosh,  and the resignation of the Kolkata Police Commissioner Vinit Kumar Goyal. They also demanded to take the Police Commissioner be in the ambit of the investigation and the immediate end of the fear politics at all the Medical Colleges of West Bengal.
