Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has coordinated the return of NIA-wanted Shokat Ali from Saudi Arabia. Ali is one of the 18 people who were charge sheeted by NIA in a case involving smuggling of over 18 kg gold bars from Saudi Arabia to Jaipur. CBI coordinated with Saudi Arabia’s National Centre Bureau-Riyadh via INTERPOL channel to ensure the return Shokat Ali. CBI as the National Central Bureau for Interpol in India coordinates with all law enforcement agencies in India for assistance via INTERPOL channels.
