In Jharkhand, 93 candidates are left in the fray after the withdrawal of nominations for the four Lok Sabha constituencies going to poll under the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand. The Additional Chief Electoral Officer of the State, Dr. Neha Arora said that in the sixth phase, elections are to be held on Giridih, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and Ranchi Lok Sabha seats and the position of the candidates has become clear. In a press conference held in Ranchi this evening, she said that 16 candidates are in the fray for the Giridih Lok Sabha seat, 25 for Dhanbad, 27 for the Ranchi Lok Sabha seat and 25 for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat. She said that under the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections, six candidates have filed nominations so far for three Lok Sabha seats.
