Campaigning for the remaining phases of general elections has gained momentum with senior leaders of major political parties crisscrossing the country to garner votes in support of their candidates.

Prime Minister and Senior BJP leader Narendra Modi addressed public gatherings at Malda in West Bengal and Munger and Araria in Bihar on Friday. He also held a road show at Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. At Munger, referring to RJD rule in Bihar, Mr Modi said, Munger suffered the most during the jungle raj. He said, but the NDA government under the leadership of JD(U) and BJP has brought it out of that darkness. He said this election is to make India strategically and economically developed.
 

On the other hand, leaders of opposition Grand Alliance are holding multiple elections rallies in the parliamentary segments poll bound during third and fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections.
 

Vikassheel Insaan Party Chief Mukesh Sahni addressed public meetings and held road show in Jhanjharpur and adjoining areas in Bihar.
 

Trinamool Congress President and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee participated in a public meeting at Ghatal parliamentary constituency. She accused the Centre of not giving funds to the state for various welfare schemes.
 

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a public rally at Vijayapura in Bijapur Lok Sabha constituency of Karnataka. He promised that if voted to power, I.N.D.I.A. bloc will provide every graduate a one-year apprenticeship in a private company or a government office and one lakh rupees to the person in a year. He also promised loan waiver to the farmers and legal guarantee on MSP on agri produce.
 

In Madhya Pradesh, senior BJP leader Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Ashoknagar and Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituencies. On the other hand, MP State Congress President Jitu Patwari, Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha and former Union Minister Arun Yadav campaigned in Burhanpur today. They accused the BJP of raising controversial issues to divert attention from basic issues like unemployment and inflation.
 

In Uttar Pradesh, high voltage campaigning was seen today for the next phase of elections. Prime Minister and Senior BJP leader Narendra Modi held a road show in Bareilly district. BJP leader and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also accompanied him. Earlier in the day Yogi Adityanath held a political rally in Sambhal and attacked Congress for its appeasement policy. On the other hand Samajwadi party Chief Akhilesh Yadav held a rally in Etah district. BSP coordinator and star campaignor of the party Aakash Anand also addressed the gatherings in Ambedkar Nagar and Kaushambi Loksabha constituencies.
