Campaigning for Delhi assembly elections reaches its last leg

Campaigning for Delhi assembly elections has reached its last leg. Addressing a series of public rallies in the national capital today, senior BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah accused the AAP leader of lying to the people of Delhi during the Anna Hazare movement by saying that he would not form a political party. He hit out at the AAP government in Delhi, claiming that scams worth thousands of crores were done including liquor scam and Jal Board scam.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today campaigned in favour of BJP candidate from Dwarka in Delhi, Pradyuman Rajput.

Addressing a public rally at Sadar Bazar, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed that there is a fight between two ideologies in the country. He said that there is hatred and violence on one side and love and brotherhood on the other side. Mr Gandhi said that the Congress party is fighting to save the Constitution.

While addressing a rally in Chandni Chowk, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticised AAP Leader Arvind Kejriwal for accusing former Chief Minister Sheila Dixit of corruption, saying that none of the allegations were proven. She also hit out at the BJP alleging that politics which makes people fight with each other works only for self-interest.

Meanwhile, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal also addressed several public meetings in the national capital. He said that the AAP government has improved schools and hospitals in the city and ensured electricity and water supplies to the people of Delhi. He also alleged that people’s monthly expenditure will rise if BJP comes to power.
