The campaigning for the first phase of polls in Odisha has ended on Saturday; in this phase, voting will be held in Kalahandi, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Berhampur Lok Sabha seats and 28 assembly seats under it. Today, the Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha said 62 lakh 87 thousand voters will exercise their franchise at 7,303 polling centres in the first phase of twin elections in Odisha on Monday. He also informed that 243 candidates are in the fray for 28 Assembly constituencies that will go to polls in the first phase. Amidst the ongoing tussle between parties to grab power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today attended three public meetings at Bargarh, Kandhamal, and Bolangir as part of BJP’s Vijay Sankalp Samavesh for the elections.
