External Affairs Ministry has termed the signing of the Pax Silica Declaration and the India-US Joint Statement on “AI Opportunity Partnership” on the margins of the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi as another milestone in India-US relations. In a social media post, the Ministry said this reaffirms the shared commitment to resilient supply chains, critical minerals, trusted compute, and next-gen AI innovation.
Presiding over the signing ceremony, Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that the goal of India is to take a leadership role in Semiconductor and Electronics industries. Mr Vaishnaw said, India’s talented engineers are designing the most complex and advanced two nanometer chips.

Pax Silica is envisioned as a strategic coalition of trusted nations committed to securing the “silicon stack”, from critical minerals and semiconductor fabrication to advanced AI systems and deployment infrastructure. The initiative seeks to reduce overconcentration in global supply chains, prevent economic coercion, and ensure that emerging technologies are developed and governed by open, democratic societies. Pax Silica is US administration’s initiative to secure supply chains for silicon-based technologies. It was initially launched in December last year with eight members including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Israel, United Arab Emirates, and Australia. The Government has extended the India AI Impact Expo by one day till tomorrow. Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Secretary S. Krishnan said, this move has been taken because of the overwhelming response from exhibitors, innovators, and visitors. He said that on the 20th and 21st of this month, the Expo will remain open until 8 PM.
The Summit reflects a shift from passive learning to active participation, redefining employment across sectors, spotlighting new skills, and the urgent need to sync education with industry needs. नवादा मंडल कारा में बंद कैदी चंदन कुमार ने दारोगा की लिखित परीक्षा पास की और जेल में रहकर ही शारीरिक दक्षता परीक्षा की तैयारी की। हालांकि इस बार उन्हें सफलता नहीं मिली, लेकिन उनका हौसला बरकरार है। वे जेल प्रशासन की ओर से उपलब्ध कराई जा रही सहायताओं केा लेकर काफी खुश हैं।
मंडल कारा में नियमित रूप से कंप्यूटर की कक्षाओं का भी संचालन होता है। कैदी विपिन कुमार यादव, जो डॉक्टरेट डिग्री धारक हैं, उनका कहना है कि आज का दौर आईटी का है और तकनीकी ज्ञान के बिना आगे बढ़ना मुश्किल है। वे जेल से बाहर निकलकर नई पहचान बनाने की उम्मीद जता रहे हैं। जेलर सुशील कुमार कहते हैं कि बंदियों को हुनरमंद और आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए कंप्यूटर प्रशिक्षण और प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी की सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराई जा रही हैं।, इससे रिहाई के बाद कैदी समाज की मुख्यधारा में सम्मानपूर्वक जीवन जी सकें। नवादा मंडल कारा की यह पहल एक सकारात्मक बदलाव की तस्वीर पेश करती है। जेल की सलाखों के पीछे अब सिर्फ सजा नहीं बल्कि सुनहरे भविष्य की तैयारी भी हो रही है। परिक्रमा के लिए पटना से अभिषेक दास।

“The Itkhori Mahotsav in Chatra was inaugurated yesterday at the historic Maa Bhadrakali temple premises, where Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore and Minister Yogendra Prasad lit the ceremonial lamp. He achieved fame and popularity across the Indian subcontinent when he presented his Binaca Geetmala programme of top hit songs from Hindi cinema over the airwaves of Radio Ceylon.He was one of the most imitated announcers. His style of addressing the audience with “Behno aur Bhaiyo ” (meaning “sisters and brothers”) as against the traditional “Bhaiyo aur Behno” is still treated as an announcement with a melodious touch. He had produced, compered (or provided voice-overs for) over 54,000 radio programmes and 19,000 spots/jingles since 1951.

Kuntagodu Vibhuthi Subbanna was born on this day in 1932. He was an acclaimed dramatist and writer in Kannada. He was the founder of the world-famous NINASAM (Neelanakantheshwara Natya Sangha) drama institute. Founded in 1949 in Heggodu, Sagara. Ninasam, under the guidance of K.V. Subbanna, made significant contribution to Kannada theatre and other performing arts. He was awarded, in 1991, the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Journalism, Literature, and Creative Communication Arts, in recognition of his contribution to enrich rural Karnataka with the world’s best films and the delight and wonder of the living stage. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2004.

Bhabendra Nath Saikia was born on this day in 1932. He was a novelist, short-story writer, editor and film director from Assam, India. Saikia received his doctorate in physics from the University of London. He began his career as a reader in the Department of Physics, University of Guwahati. He later played an important role in the publication of college level textbooks in the Assamese language during his tenure as the Secretary of the Co-ordination Committee for production of textbooks in regional languages. Saikia was the founding editor of the Assamese language weekly Prantik and the children’s magazine Safura. He has written plays for radio and theatre. He was the director and screenplay writer for eight Assamese language films, receiving the Rajat Kamal Award from the Government of India for seven.
He won the Sahitya Academy (1976), and was also recognised with the Padma Shri in 2001. He was awarded the ‘Assam Valley Literature Award’ in 1990.
