The curtains fall on the India AI Impact Summit 2026 Expo today. The Government had extended the expo for one more day keeping in view the overwhelming response from exhibitors, innovators, and visitors. Our correspondent reports that the expo will be open till 6 PM this evening. A report;
“The extension of the Expo is allowing more students, professionals, and general visitors to interact with exhibitors to understand practical deployment models, data security standards, compliance mechanisms, and the real-world impact of AI. So far, the India AI Impact Summit witnessed participation of over 5 lakh visitors and various AI players in the world became part of the global event. Across the ten arenas, global technology firms, startups, academia, Union Ministries, State Governments and research institutions created a mosaic of capability. The International summit generated investment commitments of more than 250 billion dollars for infrastructure and 150 billion dollars for deep-tech venture capital. Thirteen countries set up pavilions at the summit, including Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan, and a collective African pavilion. The summit brought together startups, researchers, industry leaders, and innovators from across various sectors from around the world under one roof. Vehicular movement on roads surrounding Bharat Mandapam and adjoining stretches near Pragati Maidan is likely to be regulated or diverted as per requirement. According to Delhi Traffic Police, the affected roads are Bhairon Road, Bhagwan Dass Road, Purana Qila Road and Mathura Road. Therefore, the traffic police have suggested alternative routes such as Tilak Marg, Sikandra Road, and Ring Road for the convenience of commuters.

Chief People and Strategy Officer of Niruthi Climate and Ecosystems Private Limited, Raj Patnaik said that the India AI Summit is a significant initiative by the Government that provides an opportunity to showcase innovations across various sectors. Talking to Akashvani News, Mr Patnaik noted that there has been a large footfall from different sections of society, including students, reflecting growing interest in innovation and startups. He also urged the Government to place greater emphasis on promoting and advancing technological innovations in the country.

To improve the space research capabilities and to strengthen the country’s position in the field of global astrophysics, out of four telescope projects announced in the 2026-27 Budget, three projects are for Ladakh.
“The recently announced 2026-27 Budget has brought cheers to Ladakh and lovers of astronomy. Announcement of establishment of three new telescope projects at Hanle and Merak in Ladakh have further boosted the expectations of Ladakh in becoming the Country’s capital of Astronomy. These new projects include National Large Telescope Optical near Infrared telescope at Hanle, National Large Solar telescope telescope at Merak near Pangong Lake and upgradation of the existing Himalayan Chandra telescope at Hanle. These new projects are part of the major expansion of astronomical infrastructure in Ladakh and it is also aim to develop Ladakh as one of the places for largest telescope in the world. Dorje Angchuk, Engineering Incharge of Indian Astronomical Observatory , Hanle while speaking to Parikarma said that Ladakh will be be capital of Astronomy in the country and science driven community based projects are being implemented at Hanle and its surrounding villages to preserve the golden factors such as dark sky and less night light pollution for sustaining the uniqueness for Astronomical Observation. He further said a week- long Night stargazing from May 21 are planned at different places such as Padum in Zanskar, Chiktan and Kargil in Kargil district, Disket in Nubra valley, Khaltsi in Sham valley, Leh and Hanle for mass awareness on Astro Tourism. “गुजरात में पहली बार कच्छ जिले के 281 गांवों में स्थित, लगभग 5,600 एकड़ से अधिक भूमि पर फैले कुल 910 तालाबों को राजस्व रिकॉर्ड में शामिल कर उन्हें आधिकारिक दर्जा प्रदान किया गया है। यह अभियान जल संचयन, संरक्षण और सौंदर्यीकरण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर साबित हुआ है। वैज्ञानिक पद्धति से भूमि माप, फील्ड विज़िट और आधिकारिक आदेश प्रक्रिया पूरी कर मात्र तीन माह की अल्प अवधि में इन सभी तालाबों को राजस्व रिकॉर्ड में औपचारिक पहचान दी गई है। भौगोलिक दृष्टि से कच्छ जिला अर्ध-शुष्क क्षेत्र में आता है, ऐसे में पेयजल, कृषि और पशुपालन के लिए जल स्रोतों का संरक्षण और संवर्धन अत्यंत आवश्यक है। अब इन 910 तालाबों के राजस्व रिकॉर्ड में दर्ज होने से ‘सुजलाम सुफलाम योजना’, ‘अमृत सरोवर’, ‘वीबीजीरामजी’ सहित विभिन्न योजनाओं के अंतर्गत स्थानीय संस्थाओं के सहयोग से जल संचयन और संरक्षण से जुड़े कार्य सुचारु रूप से किए जा सकेंगे। इस अभियान से भूजल स्तर में उल्लेखनीय सुधार की उम्मीद है, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप आसपास के ट्यूबवेल, बोरवेल और कुओं के जलस्तर में वृद्धि होगी। तालाबों को आधिकारिक दर्जा मिलने से वन विभाग द्वारा इनके आसपास वृक्षारोपण का कार्य भी किया जाएगा। कलेक्टर आनंद पटेल के नेतृत्व में राजस्व विभाग द्वारा संचालित यह अभियान पर्यावरण संरक्षण के साथ-साथ भावी पीढ़ियों के लिए जल संसाधनों के संवर्धन की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण और दीर्घकालिक प्रभाव वाला कदम सिद्ध होगा। परिक्रमा के लिए भुज से अशरफ नथवाणी.”

“Inaugurating the conclave, Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi underlined the growing importance of the seas to global trade and security. He referred to the recent International Fleet Review and MILAN exercises at Visakhapatnam as a “maritime Mahakumbh,” noting participation from seventy-four nations. The Navy Chief said over seventy percent of the earth’s surface is covered by water, and ninety-five percent of India’s trade by volume moves by sea. He announced the upcoming launch of IOS Sagar 2.0 and proposed a special task force with friendly nations to address emerging challenges.
Delegates from fourteen Indian Ocean countries are discussing drug trafficking, illegal fishing, maritime terrorism and stronger regional coordination.
