The chilly winter in Mizoram also brings with it the beautiful Tlaizawng Par (cherry blossom). Although Tlaizawng Par can be found in other parts of the world, its beauty feels even more special in Mizoram, enhanced by the region’s fresh air and serene surroundings. Recently, Mizoram Tourism Department organised Tlaizawng Paradise at Phuaibuang, an event that has been greatly appreciated by many.
Cherry Blossom (Tlaizawng Par) has held a special place in the hearts of the Mizo people for many years. The flower is valued not only for its fresh and delicate beauty, but also for the deep emotional impression it leaves on those who experience it. Tlaizawng Paradise at Phuaibuang, a village in Saitual district near the Manipur border organised by the Tourism Department, was widely appreciated and attracted many visitors.
Two-day Tlaizawng or cherry blossom paradise, a tourism event to boost economy and preserve natural resources, was attended by state tourism minister Lalnghinglova Hmar, tourism department officials, community leaders from Phuaibuang and Luangpawn villages and a large number of visitors. Speaking on the occasion, Lalnghinglova Hmar said the event was organised to attract tourists by harnessing the natural wealth and beauty of the land. Lalnunmawii, a visitor to Tlaizawng Paradise, described her visit to Phuaibuang as revitalising. She also expressed her appreciation for the fresh air and the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
Cherry blossoms are locally known as Tlaizawng and Phuaibuang and its surrounding area is famous for this flower or tree.
The two day “Tlaizawng Paradise” event also features adventure tourism activities such as visit to caves, mountain hiking and mass angling.

ये पंक्तियां हैं – हिन्दी साहित्यकार उपेन्द्रनाथ अश्क की। आज उनकी पुण्यतिथि है। उपन्यासकार, कहानीकार, कवि और नाटककार के रूप में उन्होंने हिंदी और उर्दू दोनों भाषाओं में साहित्य सृजन किया। अश्क जी ने आदर्शोन्मुख, कल्पनाप्रधान अथवा कोरी रोमानी रचनाएँ की। उपेन्द्रनाथ ‘अश्क’ ने मुंशी प्रेमचंद की सलाह पर हिन्दी में लिखना आरम्भ किया। 1933 में प्रकाशित उनके दूसरे कहानी संग्रह ‘औरत की फितरत’ की भूमिका मुंशी प्रेमचन्द ने ही लिखी थी। उन्हें 1972 ई. में ‘सोवियत लैन्ड नेहरू पुरस्कार और 1965 में ‘संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार’ से सम्मानित किया गया था।
