This event also holds special significance as it is the Test Event of the 14th FAI World Paragliding Accuracy Championship, bringing together top pilots from across the globe and serving as a key platform to assess international competitive standards. Mr. Rai will further represent India at the 5th FAI Asian Paragliding Accuracy Championships, scheduled from 7th to 15th February 2026. This continental championship is one of the most important paragliding accuracy events in Asia, featuring elite pilots from numerous Asian countries. The participation of an athlete from Sikkim at such global platforms highlights the growing presence of the region in adventure sports and aviation disciplines. भारत के कौशल विकास को दिशा देने के लिए पुणे में PM SETU उद्योग कार्यशाला का हाल ही में आयोजन किया गया. केन्द्रीय कौशल विकास और उद्योजकता मंत्रालय, महाराष्ट्र सरकार के साथ साझेदारी में, PM-SETU यानि अपग्रेडेड ITIs के ज़रिए प्रधानमंत्री स्किलिंग और एम्प्लॉयबिलिटी ट्रांसफॉर्मेशन नाम की बड़ी योजना को लागू करने का यह एक हिस्सा है. माननीय प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा घोषित यह ऐतिहासिक स्कीम, विकसित भारत के विज़न के मुताबिक है और इसका मकसद भविष्य के लिए तैयार और ग्लोबल लेवल पर कॉम्पिटिटिव वर्कफोर्स बनाना है.
“महाराष्ट्र राज्य में औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्थाओं की स्थापना स्वाधीनता-पूर्व काल से हुई है. आज की तारीख में चार सौ से अधिक सरकारी और तीन सौ से अधिक निजी ऐसी संस्थाएं करीबन 134 विभिन्न पाठ्यक्रमों का प्रशिक्षण हर साल करीबन डेढ़ लाख विद्यार्थियों को दे रही हैं. ITI में ट्रेनिंग के बाद उन्हें इंजीनियरिंग में उच्च शिक्षा का विकल्प खुला रहता है. नौकरी के साथ-साथ स्वयं-रोजगार के बारे में भी वह सोच सकते हैं. उद्योगों की ज़रूरतों को ध्यान में रखते हुए राज्य सरकार ने ITI के पाठ्यक्रमों में समय-समय पर बदलाव किया है. अब पीएम-सेतु के माध्यम से उद्योगों की साझेदारी बढ़ाना और योजना के उद्योग-प्रणित प्रबंधन के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने का उद्देश्य है. इसके मद्देनजर पुणे में आयोजित कार्यशाला में विनिर्माण, वस्त्र उद्योग, स्वयंचलित वाहन, FMCG, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, तेल एवं वायु और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा जैसे अलग-अलग सेक्टर की 50 से अधिक कंपनियों ने हिस्सा लिया. PM-SETU के तहत, देश भर में 1,000 सरकारी ITI को हब-अँड-स्पोक मॉडल के ज़रिए आधुनिक बनाया जाएगा. इसमें से 200 हब ITI को उन्नत बुनियादी ढांचा और आधुनिक प्रशिक्षण सुविधाओं के लिए समर्थन दिया जाएगा, जबकि 800 स्पोक ITI ज़िला लेवल पर प्रशिक्षण को बढ़ाएंगे. इस योजना के तहत, ITI को सरकारी लेकिन उद्योगों द्वारा प्रबंधित संस्थानों के तौर पर विकसित किया जाएगा, और अँकर उद्योगों के साथ क्लस्टर-आधारित साझेदारी के ज़रिए जरुरत के अनुसार प्रशिक्षण, अप्रेंटिसशिप और मजबूत प्लेसमेंट लिंकेज बनाए जाएंगे. Krishna District in Andhra Pradesh is implementing various activities under the Swacchta programme. The focus is on cleanliness, reducing air pollution and improving air quality through public awareness.
“As part of Swacch Bharat Mission, the Krishna district administration has introduced a cycling and walking initiative. Every Saturday, staff working in the Krishna Collectorate are encouraged to come to office either by bicycle or on foot. The District Collector is also coming to office on a cycle every Saturday. The initiative has been in practice for the past two months. Citizens are being encouraged to adopt cycling or walking at least one day a week to reduce pollution and improve health.

Meghalaya’s unique living root bridges, shaped by generations of indigenous wisdom, have received national recognition this year. An environmentalist from Sohra has been honoured for his lifelong contribution to preserving this fragile heritage.
“Environmental conservationist Shri Hally War of Siej village in Sohra has been conferred the Padma Shri Award 2026 for his contribution to environmental conservation and preservation of indigenous practices in Meghalaya. A farmer by profession, Shri War has devoted decades to conserving the traditional Khasi bioengineering practice of creating living root bridges by carefully training the roots of rubber fig trees across rivers and ravines. These bridges, which take many years to mature, serve as natural pathways and reflect sustainable living in harmony with nature. Over the years, Shri War has helped maintain and strengthen several living root bridges in and around Siej village in the East Khasi Hills district. He has also mentored local families and younger villagers in root bridge weaving, afforestation and protection of the surrounding ecosystem. Living root bridges are found mainly in the southern slopes of the Khasi and Jaintia Hills region and attract visitors from across the world, contributing to sustainable tourism while preserving ecological balance. Expressing his happiness on receiving the Padma Shri, Shri Hally War said, “Being a farmer who cultivates betel nuts, betel leaves, black pepper and many types of fruits, first of all I want to thank God for this opportunity to receive this award. I am very happy and thankful to the people who selected my name for this award.” The significance of the Siej living root bridge has drawn national attention in recent years. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the site last year and appreciated the indigenous ecological practices followed by the community. During her visit, the Finance Minister said that such traditions offer valuable lessons at a time when the world is looking for sustainable solutions. महाराणा प्रताप (अंग्रेज़ी: Maharana Pratap, जन्म- 9 मई, 1540 ई. कुम्भलगढ़, राजस्थान; मृत्यु- 29 जनवरी, 1597 ) का नाम भारतीय इतिहास में वीरता और दृढ़ प्रतिज्ञा के लिए अमर है। वे उदयपुर, मेवाड़ में सिसोदिया राजवंश के राजा थे। वह तिथि धन्य है, जब मेवाड़ की शौर्य-भूमि पर ‘मेवाड़-मुकुट मणि’ राणा प्रताप का जन्म हुआ। वे अकेले ऐसे वीर थे, जिसने मुग़ल बादशाह अकबर की अधीनता किसी भी प्रकार स्वीकार नहीं की। अकबर के समय के राजपूत नरेशों में महाराणा प्रताप ही ऐसे थे, जिन्हें मुग़ल बादशाह की मैत्रीपूर्ण दासता पसन्द न थी। इसी बात पर उनकी आमेर के मानसिंह से भी अनबन हो गई थी, जिसके फलस्वरूप मानसिंह के भड़काने से अकबर ने स्वयं मानसिंह और सलीम (जहाँगीर) की अध्यक्षता में मेवाड़ पर आक्रमण करने के लिए भारी सेना भेजी। ‘हल्दीघाटी की लड़ाई’ 18 जून, 1576 ई. को हुई थी।

आज पुण्यतिथि है उर्दू के प्रसिद्ध शायर और साहित्यकार, मोहम्मद अल्वी की। उनके कविता संकलन ‘चौथा आसमान’ के लिये उन्हें वर्ष 1992 में साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। इसी साल गुजरात साहित्य अकादमी ने भी उन्हें सम्मान दिया। हुए। सन 1937 में जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लमिया, दिल्ली के बच्चों के स्कूल में दाख़िला लिया, किन्तु पढ़ाई में जी नहीं लगा। लेकिन घर का माहौल साहित्यिक था और शायरी ख़ुद उनके ख़ून में दौड़ रही थी, इसलिए साहित्य पढ़ने का सिलसिला जारी रहा। उन्होंने1947 में पहली ग़ज़ल लिखी, जिससे उनकी, अपने ढंग की अनोखी शायरी का सिलसिला चल निकला और उर्दू शायरी में एक नए अध्याय का इज़ाफ़ा हुआ। उनका पहला कविता-संग्रह ‘ख़ाली मकान’ 1963 में आया और फिर 1967 में ‘आख़िरी दिन की तलाश’, 1978 में ‘तीसरी किताब’, 1992 में ‘चौथा आसमान’ का प्रकाशन हुआ।
