आईआईटी भिलाई में शुरू हुआ “जेन ज़ी पोस्ट ऑफिस” की इस पहल का उद्देश्य नई पीढ़ी, विशेषकर जेन ज़ी को डाक नेटवर्क से निरंतर रूप से जोड़ना तथा डाक सेवाओं में उनकी सक्रिय भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करना है। आईआईटी भिलाई के निदेशक राजीव प्रकाश ने कहा कि इस डाकघर का आईआईटी परिसर में शुरू होना आधुनिक ज्ञान के साथ डाक विभाग जैसे एक सौ सत्तर साल पुराने ेसंस्थान का शानदार संगम है।

The second Auroville Literature Festival, is currently under way at the universal township of Auroville near Puducherry. The interweaving of science, spirituality, esoteric knowledge and modern management ideas with the ideal of global human unity is the central theme of this year’s festival. The week-long festival, which began on December 15, will continue till December 21, bringing together eminent scholars, writers and thinkers from India and abroad. The event is being hosted by Auroville foundation with the support of the Union Ministry of Culture and the Government of Puducherry. More from our correspondent:
The second Auroville Literature Festival is being held in four languages – Sanskrit, Tamil, French and English. With nearly sixty nationalities represented in Auroville, the festival offers a vibrant platform for cross-cultural exchange through translations and world literature. The programme features keynote addresses, panel discussions, book launches, workshops and cultural performances, spread across various venues in the universal township. Auroville Foundation Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, Jayanti S. Ravi, said the festival reaffirms Auroville’s commitment to literature, cultural dialogue and the ideal of human unity. A major focus of the festival is the literary legacy of Sri Aurobindo, particularly his interpretations of the Vedas and the epic Savitri. The opening two days were devoted to Sanskrit and began with Vedic chanting. The sessions included a keynote address by Sampadananda Mishra on Sri Aurobindo and programmes introducing Sanskrit through The Mother’s writings. The Tamil and French segments, which began yesterday, include discussions on the Kamba Ramayana, cultural themes in Tamil literature, and dialogues on literary exchanges between Romain Rolland and Rabindranath Tagore. The French section also features sessions on the Gift Economy and dramatic readings from classical and contemporary poets. The concluding three days, dedicated to English literature, will feature sessions on Conscious Capitalism, changes in the global geopolitical order, and the dialogue between Indian philosophy and modern science. Noted personalities, including Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu, former Indian envoys Navtej Sarna and T. S. Tirumurti, poet Arundhati Subramaniam and historian Hindol Sengupta, are taking part in various sessions. The festival will conclude with a valedictory programme on Sunday. The world’s largest open-air theatre, Bargarh Dhanu Yatra, is set to begin on 24th December 2025(Twenty twenty five), and will conclude on 3rd January 2026(Twenty twenty six). Preparations for the iconic festival are in full swing with the installation of the traditional ‘Subha Stambha’ on the banks of the Jeera River, marking the formal start of the celebrations.
Based on episodes from Krishna Leela, the Dhanu Yatra recreates the mythological tale of Lord Krishna and his uncle Kansa. During the festival, Bargarh town transforms into the ancient city of Mathura, with the Jeera River representing the Yamuna, and Ambapali village, located across the river, becomes Gopapur, bringing the epic story to life in an open-air setting. Bargarh Sub-Collector Prasanna Kumar Pande said the festival is expected to attract a large number of visitors. He added that, like previous years, elaborate decorations are being planned, along with new features to enhance the experience while preserving tradition. The district administration and the Dhanu Yatra Committee are working in close coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the festival. The jury has selected Sushil Meher to play the role of Kansa this year. Other key roles will be portrayed by Golap Chandra Dash as Mahamantri, Jagabandhu Mahaling as Sartaki, Jagannath Sahu as Akrur, Mugdha Dash as Devaki, Manoj Kumar Sahu as Vasudev, and Kamraj Bhoi as Narada. The selected artists will perform for the next three years. The Dhanu Yatra was conceptualised in 1948, soon after India’s Independence, as a cultural expression of freedom by the people of Bargarh. Planned by Chakradhar Nayak, Chandra Gountia, and Gountia Raghumani Dash, the festival has since grown into a global attraction. This year, the festival budget has increased to four crore rupees, reflecting the growing scale and popularity of the event. With vibrant traditions and grand preparations, the Bargarh Dhanu Yatra 2025(Twenty twenty five) promises a memorable cultural spectacle. इन पंक्तियों के लेखक हैं जाने-माने कवि अदम गोंडवी जिनका आज ही के दिन निधन हुआ था। उनका असली नाम रामनाथ सिंह था। उन्होंने सामाजिक भेदभाव और देश में अव्यवस्थाओं पर बहुत ही बेबाकी से लिखा। अदम गोंडवी किताब पढ़कर जनवादी नहीं हुए थे बल्कि समस्याओं के बीच में रहकर देखा था और महसूस किया था। उनकी रचनाओं में हकीकत, कटाक्ष और जज़्बात का बेजोड़ संगम मिलता है।
बेबाक और साफगोई से कही उनकी शायरी सीधे सादे लोगों के दिलों में बस जाती है।

आज ही के दिन 1887 को जन्म हुआ था भोजपुरी के शेक्सपियर और पितामाह के नाम से प्रख्यात भिखारी ठाकुर का। उन्होंने कई नाटक, कविताएं, और लोक गीत लिखे। नाट्य-निर्देशन और अभिनय भी किया। उनकी पुस्तकों की भाषा बहुत सरल थी जिससे लोग बहुत आकृष्ट हुए। और देश में ही नहींविदेशों में भी उनके लिखेगीतों को पसंद किया जाता है।
भिखारी ठाकुर की अमर रचना ‘बिदेसिया’ पर जब एसएन त्रिपाठी ने 1963 में फिल्म बनाई, तो भिखारी ठाकुर राष्ट्रीय फलक पर आ गए. आज भी भोजपुरी मनोरंजन की दुनिया भिखारी ठाकुर से ही शुरू होती है. उनका संगीत लोककंठ में बसा कभी ना थकने वाला संगीत है.
