The second edition of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 begins today in New Delhi and will go on till 12th of this month. It sets the vision, objectives, and path forward, uniting youth voices, innovative ideas, and leadership to contribute meaningfully to India’s journey toward a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that more than 2 thousand 500 youth from across the country and abroad will participate in the 4-day event. He said that ISRO astronauts Group Captain Subhanshu Shukla and Group Captain Prasanth Nair will interact with the participants, while Indian Women’s Cricket Team captain Harmanpreet Kaur will take part in a fireside interaction. He added that the dialogue will also witness the participation of eminent domain experts including Pullela Gopichand, Leander Paes, Palki Sharma, Kaivalya Vohra, Sibabrata Das, and Anand Kumar, along with Padma Awardees and young MPs and MLAs.

विकसित भारत यंग लीडर्स डायलॉग का मुख्य आधार विकसित भारत चैलेंज ट्रैक है और इसे अलग-अलग चरणों की एक सुव्यवस्थित प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से संचालित किया जा रहा है। पहले चरण में डिजिटल क्विज़ का आयोजन MY Bharat और MyGov प्लेटफॉर्म पर किया गया, जिसमें सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के 50 दशमलव चार दो लाख से अधिक युवाओं ने भाग लिया। इसके बाद निबंध प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें दस राष्ट्रीय प्राथमिकता वाले विषयों पर दो लाख से अधिक प्रविष्टियाँ प्राप्त हुईं। तीसरे चरण में राज्य स्तरीय विज़न डेक चैलेंज में नेतृत्व क्षमता, दूरदृष्टि की स्पष्टता और सहयोगात्मक कौशल के आधार पर प्रतिभागियों को और अधिक चयनित किया गया।
The Challenge Track will culminate in the National Championship during Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, where 1,500 shortlisted young leaders will present their ideas at the grand finale to be held in New Delhi from 9-12 January 2026.

The DAY 2 will commence with a Plenary Session, to be graced by Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, and Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor, along with senior officials of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Following the inaugural session, participants will take part in theme-based deliberations across the ten national priority themes, under the guidance of eminent domain experts, practitioners, and public leaders. These deliberations aim to foster solution-oriented discussions, practical insights, and actionable recommendations aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. Running concurrently, the Viksit Bharat Exhibition will showcase initiatives from Central Ministries, highlighting opportunities in education, skilling, entrepreneurship, innovation, and culture. Participants will also visit the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library for a guided tour in the afternoon, gaining insights into India’s leadership and democratic journey.

The final day,which is observed as National Youth Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, will mark the defining culmination of the Dialogue. The day will witness the participation of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, underscoring the national significance of the platform and the Government’s commitment to youth-led nation-building. The Prime Minister will interact with the young participants, giving them the opportunity to present their ideas for nation-building directly to the top leadership of the nation.The programme will feature a Grand Plenary Session led by Prime Minister, including a Town Hall-style interaction with young leaders.

केन्द्रीय गृह एवं सहकारिता मंत्री अमित शाह ने हाल ही में अंडमान निकोबार द्वीपसमूह का दौरा किया। दौरे के दौरान केन्द्रीय मंत्री ने द्वीपसमूह के विकास के लिए तीन सौ तिहत्तर करोड़ रूपये लागत वाली कई परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन किया।
केंद्रीय गृह एवं सहकारिता मंत्री अमित शाह ने अंडमान निकोबार दीप समूह के दौरे के अवसर पर 373 करोड रुपए की लागत वाली नौ परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन किया और दो परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखी। इनमें 229 करोड रुपए की लागत से निर्मित एकीकृत कमान और नियंत्रण केंद्र का उद्घाटन भी शामिल है। यह सुरक्षा उद्देश्यों के लिए एक व्यापक एकीकृत कमान और नियंत्रण केंद्र होगा जो भारत के किसी भी विकसित शहर में मौजूद केदो के समक्ष होगा। इसके अलावा 33 करोड़ की लागत से 11 चरण जिला अस्पताल चरण एक का लोकार्पण फॉरेंसिक साइंस लैब का लोकार्पण और 50 करोड रुपए की लागत से 6 अन्य योजनाओं का लोकार्पण किया। जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए गृह मंत्री ने कहा कि विकास परियोजनाओं के माध्यम से दीप समूह के विकास के एक नए अध्याय की शुरुआत हो रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि दीप समूह में ब्लू इकोनामी और पर्यटन के लिए अपार संभावनाएं हैं। गृह मंत्री ने कहा कि पर्यटन हो या पर्यावरण, मत्स्य संपदा हो या कृषि, एमएसएमई हो या स्वच्छ ऊर्जा, हर क्षेत्र में विकास की शुरुआत यहां हुई है। ग्रेट निकोबार प्रोजेक्ट के बारे में उन्होंने कहा कि इससे ग्रेट निकोबार विश्व के नक्शे पर अंडमान निकोबार दीप समूह को एक महत्वपूर्ण व्यापारिक स्थान और सामरिक सुरक्षा का केंद्र बनाएगा। गृह मंत्री ने इस अवसर पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कार्यालय में कार्यकर्ताओं से भेंट की। श्री शाह ने भाजपा अध्यक्ष अनिल कुमार तिवारी सहित अन्य प्रमुख पदाधिकारी के साथ एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक भी की। परिक्रमा के लिए, आकाशवाणी श्री विजय पुरम से मैं तरन्नुम मोहम्मद।

Inaugurated on Wednesday, the Kerala Legislative Assembly Book Festival has drawn a steady stream of readers, writers, students and curious visitors into the Assembly complex, turning a seat of lawmaking into a lively cultural venue. The sight of families browsing bookstalls and students lingering over discussions reflects a continuing public enthusiasm for reading, even in an age dominated by digital distractions. Conceived as an initiative to encourage reading as a positive and creative addiction, the festival is visibly fulfilling its purpose. Young readers, in particular, have been a prominent presence, engaging with books and conversations that offer a refreshing alternative to the constant pull of screens. Spanning seven days and continuing till January 13, the book festival is hosting a rich mix of discussions, talks and cultural programmes. One of the major attractions this year is the staging of Northern Kerala’s vibrant ritual art Theyyam within the Assembly premises. Powerful ritual performances such as Pottan Theyyam, Agnikandakarnan Theyyam, Kuttichathan Thira and Pookkuttichathan are being presented by the Mahe Theyyam Paithruka Samithi. It is bringing a deeply rooted folk tradition into an urban, institutional space. More than 175 publishers are participating in the book festival with more than 300 stalls. 2024 – उस्ताद राशिद ख़ान
भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत की दुनिया में जब गहराई, साधना और भाव की बात होती है, तो उस्ताद राशिद ख़ान का नाम बड़े सम्मान से लिया जाता है। आज उस्ताद राशिद ख़ान की पुण्यतिथि है। वह हिंदुस्तानी शास्त्रीय संगीत के एक महान गायक और संगीतकार थे। उस्ताद राशिद ख़ान रामपुर-सहसवान घराने से ताल्लुक रखते थे। उनकी गायकी में खयाल, ठुमरी और बंदिशों की खास पहचान थी। उन्होंने संगीत को सिर्फ गाया नहीं, बल्कि महसूस कराया। उन्होंने कई मंचों पर भारतीय संगीत की गरिमा को ऊँचाई तक पहुँचाया। उनके योगदान के लिए उन्हें संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार, पद्म श्री और पद्म भूषण से नवाज़ा गया। उनका जाना संगीत जगत के लिए एक अपूरणीय क्षति है, लेकिन उनकी आवाज़ हमेशा हमारे बीच जीवित रहेगी।

Om Prakash Bhandari popularly known as Qamar Jalalabadi. Om Prakash started writing poetry at an early age though there was no legacy of music or poetry in the family.He completed his Matriculation from Kapurthala in Punjab and started a career in journalism in Lahore. He worked for papers like Daily Milap, Daily Pratap, Nirala, and Star Shahkaar. He also started gaining popularity as a shaayar. As a result he was recruited by Pancholi Arts Pictures in 1942 to write lyrics for some of the songs of their film Zamindaar whose music was being given by Ghulam Haider sahib. He wrote 4 – 5 songs for this movie and two of them were in partnership with Behzad Lakhnavi. Of these, “Duniya Mein Ghareebon Ko Aaraam Nahin Milta…” and “Mere Haal Par Bebasi Ro Rahi Hai…”, both sung by Shamshad Begum, gained a lot of popularity. This was followed by Sahara and Pagli in 1943 where again a couple of songs became reasonably popular.

अब हम बात करेंगे एक ऐसे प्रसिद्ध पार्श्व गायक की, जिन्होंने हिंदी सिनेमा को देशभक्ति और जोश से भर दिया था। यह सुनते ही जरूर आपके मन में महेन्द्र कपूर का नाम आया होगा। जी हाँ, आज उन्ही का जन्मदिन है। महेन्द्र कपूर की आवाज़ में एक अलग ही ताकत और गंभीरता थी। उन्होंने कई देशभक्ति गीत गाए, जो आज भी लोगों को गर्व से भर देते हैं। महेन्द्र कपूर के गाए गीत फिल्मों की पहचान बन गए। उन्हें कई बड़े संगीतकारों के साथ काम करने का मौका मिला। उनकी गायकी में साफ़ शब्द और भावनाओं की गहराई झलकती थी। हिंदी फिल्म संगीत में उनका योगदान हमेशा याद रखा जाएगा।

Har Gobind Khorana was a Nobel Prize-winning biochemist and chemical biologist who made important contributions to the chemical synthesis of genetic materials. Born on 9th of January 1922, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine along with Prof. Marshall Nirenberg and Prof. Robert Holley in 1968 for “for their interpretation of the genetic code and its function in protein synthesis”. Prof. Khorana was bestowed with Padma Vibhushan in 1969 by the Government of India. Khorana’s anniversary is time to relook the history of molecular biology. One school—Brenner, Jacob, Benzer, etc—set store on hard thinking, with simple, elegantly designed experiments in phage and bacteria that predicted details often without having to look inside cells. The other school—Khorana, Nirenberg, Kornberg, Sanger too, and their ilk—did not shy from hard work and hard thinking, and contributed by exquisite and sometimes difficult, chemistry and biochemistry.Horace Freeland Judson’s masterpiece, “The Eighth Day of Creation” is a gripping tale even today, of how biologists began to open the box of understanding nature’s engineering. A must-read and puts Khorana’s impressive work in context.”

जब पर्यावरण संरक्षण की बात होती है, तो सुन्दरलाल बहुगुणा का नाम सबसे पहले लिया जाता है। वह भारत के प्रसिद्ध पर्यावरणविद् और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता थे। उन्होंने ‘चिपको आंदोलन’ का नेतृत्व किया, जिसने जंगलों को बचाने की दिशा में बड़ा बदलाव लाया। उनका मानना था कि प्रकृति की रक्षा करना मानव जीवन के लिए जरूरी है। उन्होंने पहाड़ों, नदियों और वनों के संरक्षण के लिए जीवन भर काम किया। सुन्दरलाल बहुगुणा ने सरल जीवन और उच्च विचारों को अपनाया। उन्होंने अहिंसा और शांतिपूर्ण आंदोलनों पर विश्वास किया। उनका जीवन आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए प्रेरणा है। पर्यावरण आंदोलन में उनका योगदान सदैव अमूल्य रहेगा।
