In a powerful show of support for those who serve the nation, the Thiruvananthapuram District Legal Services Authority in Kerala joined hands with defence authorities to bring legal aid closer to soldiers and their families under the Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana. The initiative brought together more than 75 serving defence personnel, ex-servicemen and their family members for a seminar focused on grievance redressal and legal empowerment.
“Organised as a civil military fusion initiative, the seminar focused on grievance redressal mechanisms for ex servicemen and their dependents, drawing participation from over 75 serving and retired personnel and their families. During an interactive session, participants openly shared their concerns, including pension issues and other disputes. Many of which were resolved on the spot by the panel of legal and military experts. The awareness segment highlighted VPSY, launched by the National Legal Services Authority, which offers free and competent legal services to defence personnel and their dependents nationwide. These services include court representation, counselling, and documentation support to defence personnel and their dependents through legal aid clinics at Sainik Boards nationwide. Organisers announced that similar redressal sessions will now be held every month, ensuring continuous, cost free legal support for the defence community and strengthening the safety net for those who have served the nation. The programme significantly enhanced legal awareness and strengthened institutional support mechanisms available to the defence community and their families. The eight-day Adi Mahotsav-2026, organized at the Shishu Udyan in Agartala, the capital of Tripura, provided an opportunity for a unique blend of the lives and cultures of tribal people from all over the country.
“The culture of the tribal community, handicrafts, food habits, bamboo and cane products, traditional tribal jewellery or ornaments, and organic crops like millet were showcased in more than 100 stalls at the Adi Mahotsav from February 14 to 21. Through this festival, the national tribal festival– Adi Mahotsav-2026 became a manifestation of the heritage and socio-economic empowerment of the tribal community of India. The colorful, laborious, simple, easy, earthy, fragrant expression of India’s tribal culture revealed the signs of traditional handicrafts through paintings, clay art and skilfully woven clothes. Similarly, the uniqueness of delicious food in natural simplicity was one of the attractions of the Adi Mahotsav. Rukmini Devi Arundale (born February 29, 1904-died February 24 1986)
The Indian classical dancer and follower of theosophy, best known for catalyzing the renaissance of the bharata natyam dance form and was the one who founded the Kalakshetra Foundation in Madras (now Chennai). The foundation aimed to preserve and popularize bharata natyam and other Indian traditions as well as to spread the ideals of theosophy. Kalakshetra’s institutionalization of the dance form also helped ensure its transmission to future generations. In recognition of her services to Indian culture, Arundale received the Padma Bhushan, in 1956. She also received the Sangeet Natak Akademi (India’s national academy of music, arts, and dance) Award in 1957, and in 1993 the Indian parliament declared her foundation, an institution of national importance.

बॉलीवुड में कुछ ऐसे दमदार कलाकार रहे हैं, जिन्हें उनके नाम से ज्यादा किरदारों के लिए याद किया जाता है। ललिता पवार भी इन्हीं कलाकारों में से एक थीं, आज उनकी पुण्यतिथि है। ललिता पवार इतनी दमदार अभिनेत्री थीं कि जिस भी फिल्म में होतीं, अपने अभिनय की छाप छोड़ देतीं। दर्शक कुछ भी भूल जाएं, लेकिन उन्हें नहीं भूल पाते थे। 1916 को महाराष्ट्र के नासिक जिले में जन्मीं ललिता पवार ने मात्र 9 साल की उम्र में अभिनय करियर की शुरुआत कर दी थी। उनका असली नाम अंबा लक्ष्मण राव सगुन था। उन्होंने अभिनय की यात्रा का सात दशक लंबा सफर तय किया। भारतीय नारी का जीवन जीते हुए एक संजीदा कलाकार जिन्होंने सिनेमा को कई यादगार फ़िल्में दीं। ‘जंगली’ की सख्त मां, ‘श्री 420’ की केला बेचने वाली, ‘आनंद’ की संवेदनशील मातृछवि और ‘अनाड़ी’ की मिसेज डिसूजा सहित अनेक चरित्रों की जीवंत छवियों को कैसे भूला जा सकता है। बड़े पर्दे पर तो उन्होंने अत्याचारी सास बनकर खूब सुर्खियां बटोरीं, लेकिन सभी किरदारों पर ‘रामायण’ में निभाया मंथरा का किरदार भारी पड़ गया। रामानंद सागर की रामायण में उन्होंने ये किरदार ऐसी शिद्दत से निभाया कि दर्शक उन्हें असल में ऐसी ही नजरों से देखने लगे, जैसे वह सच में मंथरा हों।

You all must be knowing him by his pen name Naqsh Lyallpuri, was an Indian ghazal and Hindi language film lyricist. Sharma used to write small poems since a very young age. It was a natural talent he had. After the partition of India made the family quite destitute, and his job brought him to Mumbai, which was the hub of the Hindi film industry, Sharma decided to see if he could make some money on the side by writing songs for films. He started writing stage plays initially slowly getting recognition as lyricist for ghazals. Lyallpuri is best known for the song “Tumhe Ho Na Ho” from the film Gharonda (1977)
