नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रालय ने यात्रियों की शिकायतों के निवारण के लिए नई दिल्ली में यात्री सहायता नियंत्रण कक्ष (PACR) को चालू कर दिया है। इस महीने के पहले सप्ताह में परिचालन उड़ान व्यवधानों के जवाब में नियंत्रण कक्ष स्थापित किया गया था।
“The Ministry of Civil Aviation has operationalised the Passenger Assistance Control Room (PACR) in New Delhi to address the grievances of passengers. In a statement, the Aviation Ministry informed that the Control room was set up in response to the operational flight disruptions in the first week of this month. The Ministry added that the PACR is a mechanism for coordinated grievance resolution that works twenty four into seven providing support to air travellers. It also said that the PACR allows timely resolution through close coordination with airline representatives stationed in the control room. The workshop covered a range of Government schemes, including Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY, PM Mudra Yojana, Digital India initiatives, Skill India Mission/PMKVY, Swachh Bharat Mission, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, Stand-Up India Scheme, and PM Ujjwala Yojana. Information was provided on eligibility criteria, application procedures, documentation requirements, and available benefits. “The 13th Sargalaya International Arts & Crafts Festival has begun at Iringal Craft Village in Kozhikode. The fair, which is described as the leading craft festival in South India, is expected to be visited by more than two lakh people. The Sargalaya International Arts & Crafts Festival, one of the best fairs of arts and crafts in the country, began on December 22. The fair will be held at Iringal Craft Village until January 8. आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार सार्वजनिक-निजी भागीदारी (पीपीपी) मॉडल के तहत राज्य में 10 मेडिकल कॉलेजों का विकास करने जा रही है। केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री जेपी नड्डा ने सड़कों, हवाई अड्डों, बंदरगाहों, ऊर्जा और शहरी अवसंरचना जैसे विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में बुनियादी ढांचे के विस्तार में पीपीपी मॉडल की सफलता का उललेख किया।
“Taking cue from the Centre, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to take forward the proposed model of Public Private Partnership in line with the Central guidelines. In a recent review meeting with officials on the Medical and Health Department, Mr. Naidu reiterated that equitable access to healthcare remained the core priority of the government. Stating that the PPP model was being adopted for construction of medical colleges across the country, Mr. Naidu directed the officials to proceed with the model to ensure availability of quality and corporate-level healthcare to the economically weaker sections. Andhra Pradesh government’s adoption of the PPP model in the medical and health sector, has also been endorsed by the Union Health Ministry emphasising the need to formulate plans to implement it for the next three years. Assistance of 60 percent of the total project expenditure would be provided under the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) scheme for setting up medical colleges and creating other infrastructure. PPP has already begun with the establishment of medical colleges, development of hospitals, diagnostic services, mobile medical services, and dialysis services, with projects worth Rs 2,000 crore approved under the VGF scheme. Currently, 919 dialysis centers are operating under the PPP model in 20 states. PPP model offers wide-ranging benefits to the public sector through private sector participation, including expertise, innovation, and mobilization of funds. To take advantage of the expanding PPP opportunities in the healthcare sector, Union Minister Nadda advised the Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav to establish a dedicated PPP Cell for project planning and coordination with the Centre. Arnav Anupriya Maharshi from Maharashtra has recently received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar from the President of India.
Seventeen-year-old Arnav Anupriya Maharshi, a divyang innovator from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra, has been conferred the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar for excellence in the field of Science and Technology. He has been recognised for his innovations that are rehabilitative tools designed for paralysis and cerebral palsy patients. Speaking to Akashvani News, Arnav said that his scientific interventions are currently undergoing clinical trials.
Arnav’s innovation ‘FAIR Chance’, an AI-based hand-paralysis rehabilitation tool, won the International Innovation Award at IIT Bombay Techfest 2024. His second innovation, ‘ActiveHand Wristband’, has been selected for the Harvard Venture TECH Summer Program 2025 with a global scholarship. Arnav hopes that youngsters in the country develop a strong problem-solving mindset.

Dennis Wilson passed away on this day in 1983. He was an American musician who co-founded the Beach Boys. He was their drummer and the middle brother of bandmates Brian and Carl Wilson as well as a first cousin of other bandmate Mike Love. Dennis was the only true surfer in the Beach Boys, and his personal life exemplified the “California myth” that the band’s early songs often celebrated. He was also known for his association with the Manson Family and for co-starring in the 1971 film Two-Lane Blacktop.
