In a major boost to food safety and passenger welfare, Dimapur Railway Station under Northeast Frontier Railway has earned the prestigious “Eat Right Station” certification from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. In a proud moment for the region, Dimapur Railway Station under the Northeast Frontier Railway has been awarded the prestigious “Eat Right Station” certification by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. The certification, valid from 24th October, 2025 to 23rd October 2027, comes after a rigorous and comprehensive audit of food stalls, catering units and food handlers at the station. The inspection assessed strict compliance with food safety norms, hygienic food preparation, safe storage systems, scientific waste management practices, and the availability of nutritious food choices for passengers. Adding to the achievement, four more stations under the Alipurduar Division of Northeast Frontier Railway have also secured the “Eat Right Station” certification. These include Alipurduar Railway Station, Kokrajhar Railway Station, Golakganj Railway Station and New Mal Junction Railway Station. The “Eat Right Station” initiative is part of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s nationwide “Eat Right India” campaign, aimed at promoting safe, healthy and sustainable food practices across the country.
