The Budget session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly will begin today. It is the Sixth session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly. The budget session will continue till 12th August 2024 and have nine sittings. Today the leader of the house will table the report of the Business Advisory Committee in the house. Also, the house will discuss the Union Budget 2024 and the Governor’s address.
The President of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee – K. Meghachandra said yesterday that the opposition party will raise various issues, especially on the ongoing state crisis during the session. He said that the Congress MLAs are ready to participate in debate. The Chief Minister has said that the ten Kuki MLAs who skipped the last two assembly sessions will be informed of the session this time.
