Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati today held a review meeting for analysing the results of the recently held Lok Sabha elections. National-level party officials participated in this meeting held at the BSP office in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In the meeting, BSP Supremo Mayawati declared her nephew Akash Anand as her political successor and also gave him the responsibility of the National Coordinator of the party. Earlier in May, Mayawati had announced the decision to remove Anand from the posts of national coordinator and her successor “till he attained political maturity”.

During the meeting with the party workers, Mayawati discussed the poor performance of BSP in the Lok Sabha elections 2024; and also deliberated upon the strategy for the upcoming elections. She called upon the workers to make preparations to strengthen the party and said that BSP would once again emerge as a strong party.
