Border Security Force (BSF) in coordination with the Punjab Police, successfully foiled three smuggling attempts at four places along the Punjab border with Pakistan and apprehended 3 Indian smugglers, recovered over 5 kilograms of Heroin and a drone, last evening. Quoting BSF sources, our correspondent reports that as soon the alert BSF troops got information about the presence of two suspected persons in an isolated farmhouse in the border area of Gurdaspur, it conducted an operation and arrested two smugglers in coordination with the Punjab Police, from a farmhouse along with over 4 kgs Heroin. In three more operations in Fazilka, Amritsar and Tarn Taran, one more smuggler was arrested and Heroin was recovered.
The arrested smugglers have been handed over to Punjab Police for further investigation.
