Bouddh Sangha, Indian High Commission celebrate Ashadi Purnima in Bangladesh

High Commission of India in Bangladesh and Bangladesh Bouddha Kristi Prachar Sangha today celebrated Ashadi Purnima in Dhaka

On the occasion, High Commissioner Pranay Verma inaugurated a exhibition on Buddhism and teachings of Lord Buddha.

In his remarks, the High Commissioner highlighted the significance of India's enduring relationship with Bangladesh, bound by shared cultural, historical, linguistic and religious threads. 

He reiterated that Buddhism, with its profound teachings of harmony and coexistence, serves as a bridge that connects the two nations, fostering goodwill and mutual understanding. 

Mr. Verma also invited followers of Buddhism to visit Buddhist Circuit in India.

A film titled ’Path of Compassion’ on Gautama Buddha produced by renowned Buddhist scholar of India Shri. Benoy Behl was also screened on the occasion.
