BJP today took a dig at senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi after he opted out of Amethi and decided to fight from the Raebareli Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla told media in New Delhi that the Congress has confirmed that not a single member of the Nehru-Gandhi family can contest in Amethi which they used to call their stronghold. He alleged that first Amethi rejected Mr. Gandhi and he went to Wayanad, now Wayanad rejected him, hence he is going to contest from Raebareli. Mr. Poonawalla said, Mr. Gandhi has not done as much work as done by senior BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani in the last five years.
