BJP Spokesperson says, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been granted conditional bail in liquor policy case

BJP today said that the Supreme Court has shown the mirror to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as he has been granted conditional bail in the liquor policy case. Talking to the media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said Mr Kejriwal argued that his arrest was illegal but the Apex Court has rejected the arguments. He said that Mr Kejriwal never got relief from any court and no charges have been quashed. He added that there is no question of acquittal because the trial will continue against him. Mr Bhatia said the  Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP) has to answer why the Chief Minister is not resigning. The BJP spokesperson added that Mr Kejriwal used to say that a politician should resign even if there is an allegation and now he is out on bail but he is not resigning.

On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party has said that after bail to the Chief Minister, it has been proven that the arrest by the CBI was to halt the bail in the ED case. Senior Party leader Manish Sisodia said the Supreme Court’s decision is not just for Mr Kejriwal but it is an assurance to the people of the country that the Constitution is there as a shield for them.
