BJP slams opposition leaders for selectively meeting victims

BJP today slammed leaders of the opposition INDIA bloc, accusing them of selectively visiting victims in states where they do not have a government, while ignoring those where they hold power.

During a press conference in New Delhi, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan condemned the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and alleged that these leaders have neglected the atrocities committed against Dalits in Tamil Nadu.

Condemning what he called the selectivism of Rahul Gandhi, Dr. Murugan said that Gandhi visits Hathras and other places but not Tamil Nadu where several people died after consuming illicit liqour.

He also came down heavily on Tamilnadu state government and Chief Minister Stalin, claiming that atrocities against Dalits have increased significantly under the DMK government.
