The BJP today slammed the Congress as the Karnataka assembly passed a bill that allows for four per cent reservation for Muslims in government contracts. Briefing the media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Sambit Patra said it was an infringement on the rights of OBCs, SCs and STs. He said the decision taken by the Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka is the height of appeasement.
Mr Patra said people and the country have always seen that the politics of the Congress Party and its constituent parties run on the basis of nepotism, appeasement and casteism. He reiterated that the state government’s decision is unconstitutional, and the BJP will take appropriate measures to counter it.
