BJP President J P Nadda Criticizes WB Govt Over Police Action in Kolkata Protest

BJP President J P Nadda today hit out at the West Bengal government over the police action during a protest in Kolkata. In a social media post, Mr Nadda said that the pictures of police highhandedness from Kolkata have angered every person who values democratic principles. Mr Nadda wondered whether it is a crime to speak for women’s safety under Chief Minister  Mamata Banerjee’s rule.

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia also questioned the alleged silence of I.N.D.I.An alliance parties over Kolkata doctor rape and murder incident. Talking to media in New Delhi, he alleged that the Constitution is being undermined in the state as the West Bengal police are taking strict actions against the students who are peacefully protesting for their fellow students. Mr Bhatia demanded the resignation of  Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the removal of the Police Commissioner to ensure a fair investigation into the rape and brutal murder of the female doctor from RG Kar Medical College.

BJP Spokesperson Mr. Bhatia also raised the issue of reported corruption in Karnataka saying scams after scams are being unearthed in the state under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s leadership. Mr Bhatia also alleged that it is Congress’ modus operandi to convert state property into personal gains. He alleged that the family members of Congress Party President Mallikarjun Kharge had been fraudulently allotted five-acre land under the Scheduled Caste quota. He said the land was designated for allocation to entrepreneurs in the Hi-Tech Defense Aerospace Park. Mr Bhatia said that Mr  Kharge should immediately resign from his position as Congress Party President and Priyank Kharge should step down from his role as Minister in the Karnataka government.
