BJP nominee from Tripura East parliamentary constituency Kriti Singh Debbarma on Thursday (28th March 2024) filed her nomination papers in the office of the Returning Officer at Ambassa in Dhalai district of the state. The filing of nominations for the second phase of poll on April 26 began on Thursday (28th March 2024) .  

Meanwhile, in the scrutiny of nominations for first phase held today, all the nine candidates who have filed their papers have been found to be valid. BJP nominee Biplab Kumar Deb, Congress candidate Ashish Kumar Saha are the two prominent faces contesting for the Tripura West seat. Voting for first phase will be held on April 19.
