BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda & Union Minister Anurag Thakur visit flood-affected Mandi & Kullu districts of HP

The heavy monsoon rains in Himachal Pradesh from July 7 to 11 has caused large-scale loss of life and property in the state. To compensate for this loss, the Central Government has so far released more than 188 crore rupees from the National Disaster Relief Fund for the relief and rehabilitation in Himachal Pradesh. To take stock of the damage caused by the disaster in Himachal Pradesh, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur today visited Mandi and Kullu districts most affected by the natural calamity.

BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur visited flood-affected Mandi and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh today. During this, they took stock of the damage caused by the flood and also interacted with the victims. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and State BJP President Rajeev Bindal also joined them. Interacting with media Jagat Prakash Nadda stated that the Central Government stands with Himachal Pradesh in this hour of disaster, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had himself told him to visit the state. He said that due to this natural calamity, there has been a substantial loss of life and property, reports of which are being taken from all over the state. Nadda assured all possible assistance from the Center for economic relief and rehabilitation and said that separate financial assistance would be given to repair the roads of Himachal Pradesh as soon as possible. He added that the central government has been in touch with Himachal Government since the very first day of this calamity in the state and every possible help is being provided in relief and rescue operations. Nadda said that apart from 13 teams of NDRF, M.I. Helicopters have also been made available and all the people stranded in remote areas of the state are being evacuated safely.
